AGMK to construct gold mine in 2013
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Almalik Mining and Metallurgy Combine (AGMK) will start to construct oil mine in Tashkent region of Uzbekistan with the cost of US$74 million in the first quarter of 2013.

RIA Novosti reported quoting source in the combine, the Government of Uzbekistan entrusted AGMK to complete development of feasibility study of the project by the end of 2012. The financing will be opened in early 2013.

The project envisages construction of underground of mine at Samarchuk area based on current field Kyzylalma. The capacity of new ore is 200,000 tonnes of ore a year. The project will be implemented within two years.

The project is financed due to own resources of AGMK for US$35 million, loan of Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan – US$14.2 million and loans of Uzbek banks – US$24.8 million.
