AGMK establishes cooperation with a number of foreign companies and banks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine JSC (AGMK) has established cooperation with a number of foreign enterprises and banks.

In particular, a cooperation agreement was signed with Helaba Bank (Germany). This document was signed in order to finance contracts for the provision of design work and the supply of equipment for the construction of a new sulfuric acid plant at a zinc plant, concluded between AGMK and Metso Outotec.

According to this document, the bank will provide a preferential loan in the amount of 67.3 million euros for a period of 13 years with a grace period of 3 years under the guarantee of the export credit agency of the German Government Euler Hermes.

Also, within the framework of the forum, an agreement was signed between AGMK and BASF concern (Germany). This document was signed for the purpose of purchasing AGMK vanadium catalysts of grades 04-111 Ss11x4 and 04-110 Ss11h4, produced by the German concern BASF in accordance with modern requirements. The total value of the purchased products is 998,042.40 euros.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between AGMK and the Finnish company Metso Outotec. The purpose of the document is to carry out the main engineering work for the construction of a new metallurgical complex based on the AGMK.

Also at the forum, a memorandum was signed between AGMK, the joint venture AGMK - Deutsche Innovation and the German company Menzel. On the basis of this document, it is planned to implement a joint project for the production of medium and high voltage electric motors and electric generators in Chirchik.

In addition, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between AGMK and the German company Takraf GmbH. This company will supply technological equipment for the Yoshlik I mine.

Also within the framework of the forum, the management of AGMK met with representatives of the banks Natixis (France), JPMorgan Chase & Co (USA), Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen Girozentrale (Germany), KfW (Germany), Commerzbank AG (Germany). ), Barclays (Great Britain), Eurasian Machinery dealer organization for the supply of technical equipment to Hitachi (Japan), Trafigura Pte Ltd (Singapore), Glencore International AG (Switzerland).

During the meetings, issues of establishing mutually beneficial partnerships were discussed.

As part of the signed memorandum, we will provide engineering services for the construction of a new metallurgical complex at the AGMK. Andrey Rempel, Executive Director of Helaba Bank: “Today, at the International Economic Forum, for the first time we signed a cooperation agreement with the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine for the amount of 67.3 million euros. These funds will be used to finance the purchase of high-quality technological equipment from Germany for the needs of the plant. I am confident that our active and mutually beneficial cooperation will continue successfully.
