Aggregate capital of Uzbek banking system reaches 9.9 trln. soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Aggregate capital of the banking system of Uzbekistan exceeded 9.9 trillion soums as of 1 April 2017, which rose by 23.3% year-on-year, the expanded session of the Board of Central Bank of Uzbekistan said.

The level of capital adequacy of the banking system is 3 times higher than international norms, and its liquidity is 2 times higher than the required minimum standard.

According to the Central Bank, the assets of the bank reached 90.1 trillion soums as of 1 April 2017, growing by 29.2% year-on-year.

Total volume of loans directed to the real sector of the economy increased by 29.9% compared to the same period of last year and as of 1 April 2017 reached 57.3 trillion soums.

The volume of investment loans of banks increased by 1.2 times year-on-year and as of 1 April 2017 made up 3.2 trillion soums.

The volume of issued loans for entrepreneurial activity in the reporting period made up 4.6 trillion soums, rose by 1.3 times compared to the same period in 2016. Of these, microcredits made up 1 trillion soums, which is 1.3 times more than in the same period of 2016.

The commercial banks issued 514.1 billion soums of loans to businesswomen (+25.5%) and 79.8 billion soums to graduates of colleges (+1.3 times) in the first quarter of 2017.

The volume of issued loans made up 1.4 trillion soums, of which 25 billion soums were issued to low-income families.

The volume of deposits at the banks grew by 25.3% year-on-year and made up 47.4 trillion soums as of the 1 April 2017.
