Aggregate capital of banks reaches 9.4 trln. soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Aggregate capital of the banking system of Uzbekistan as of 1 January 2017 reached over 9.4 trillion soums, which grew by 1.2 times compared to the beginning of 2016, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan said.

The assets of the bank rose by 1.2 times in 2016 and reached 80.4 trillion soums, the regulator said in its statement.

Total volume of the credits, directed to the real sector of the economy in 2016, increased by 1.3 times compared to 2015 and as of the beginning of 2017 reached 53.4 trillion soums.

The volume of loans, issued to investment purposes, rose by 1.2 times year-on-year in 2016 and reached 12.2 trillion soums as of 1 January 2017.

The volume of loans, allocated to small businesses, grew by 1.3 times year-on-year in 2016 and as of 1 Januaey 2017 exceeded 15.9 trillion soums, of which over 3.3 billion soums were microloans (+1.3 times).

The commercial banks issued 1.6 trillion soums of loans to businesswomen (+1.3 times) and 362.1 billion soums to graduates of colleges (+1.3 times) in 2016.

The volume of deposits at the banks grew by 1.2 times and made up 44.6 trillion soums in the beginning of 2017.

The bank issued 19.4 million banking cards and installed 208,200 POS-terminals across country. About 70% of all payments in trade turnover fell to share of transactions with the banking cards.
