Pakhtakor, country’s another representative in the ACL last eight, defeated Bukhara 3-0 to set up a semi-final clash against AFC Cup quarter-finalists Neftchi who beat Kyzylkum by the same scoreline in their quarter-final encounter. Brazilian Rivaldo (pictured), who is leading the goalscorers’ chart in the Uzbekistan League with 14 goals, opened the defending champions’ account six minutes before the breather and Anvar Soliev made it 2-0 ten minutes from time. Brazilian midfielder Edson Ramos scored third in the 82nd minute for Luiz Felipe Scolari’s side who will host Korea Republic’s Pohang Steelers in the first leg of their ACL quarter-final on September 23 before travelling to Korea for the return leg a week later.
