Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications receives many questions and appeals from citizens and users of social networks.
In this regard, at a briefing held on 3 September at the Agency of Information and Mass Communications, the press secretary of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Akhmatov answered their most interesting questions.
Will be the entrance exams for the 2020-2021 academic year at the Specialized School for Advanced Study of ICT named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi? Can you tell us more about this?
The Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, together with the Agency for the Development of Presidential, Creative and Specialized Schools under the Cabinet of Ministers, has determined the procedure for admitting students to grades 5-9 of the Specialized School for Advanced Study of ICT named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.
Applications will be accepted in September through the Specialized School’s official website (ictschool.uz).
The exams will be conducted in two stages:
Stage 1: an online test will be conducted in September;
Stage 2: An online interview will be held in October through the ZOOM program. Now clarifications are being made on the dates of documents acceptance and examinations. Information about this will be given through the official websites of the Ministry and the Specialized School, as well as the media.
And now a little about the school. The specialized school for in-depth study of subjects of information and communication direction named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi was created in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 14, 2017.
In 2019, a modern building of a specialized school for in-depth study of subjects in the direction of information and communication technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi was commissioned. Currently, 680 children study at the school in grades 5-11 who have successfully passed the exams in mathematics and foreign languages.
Students of grades 5-9 are admitted to the Muhammad al-Khwarizmi IT school. Education is conducted in the Uzbek language with specialization in mathematics, computer science, physics and English.
For students of the school, conditions have been created for practical training through IT laboratories. Starting from school, they can already develop their projects. In addition, the school’s students also have the opportunity to take IELTS tests.
