Admission Quotas for State Universities in Uzbekistan Approved for the Next Four Academic Years
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — By Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the parameters of the state admission quota for full-time bachelor's and master's degree programs at public higher education institutions have been officially approved for the 2025/2026 academic year and the three subsequent academic years.
For the 2025/2026 academic year, 35,500 places will be allocated for full-time bachelor's studies and 9,922 places for master's programs. In the following years, the number of allocated places will gradually increase. Bachelor's degree quotas will rise to 36,023 in 2026/2027, 36,460 in 2027/2028, and 36,761 in 2028/2029. For master's programs, the quotas will grow to 10,191, 10,477, and 10,784 places respectively.
The Ministry of Higher Education has been instructed to submit proposals to the State Admissions Commission regarding the distribution of government scholarships across various categories.
Specifically, this includes the allocation of 1,320 scholarships to foreign universities and their branches operating in Uzbekistan, as well as to non-state higher education institutions within the country. Additionally, 30 scholarships are to be granted to young compatriots living abroad who wish to study in Uzbekistan, and 4,000 scholarships are earmarked for women, in cooperation with the Committee on Family and Women’s Affairs.
