Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Agency for Prospective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan reminds that from 20 April 2024, amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility, introduced by the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. ZRU-899 “On introducing amendments and additions to the Criminal, Criminal Procedure Codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility” come into force.

In particular, measures of administrative and criminal liability for the illegal circulation of crypto-assets and illegal mining activities come into force.

In order to avoid liability, the Agency urges citizens to carry out transactions with crypto-assets in the manner prescribed by law, exclusively through national service providers in the field of circulation of crypto-assets, as well as to carry out mining activities within the framework of current legislation.

NAPP said it will immediately transfer information on all facts of violations of legislation in the field of circulation of crypto-assets to law enforcement agencies to bring those responsible to justice in the manner prescribed by law.

NAPP recommends strict compliance with the legislation in the field of circulation of crypto-assets.
