Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the ADM Jizzakh automobile plant.
Jizzakh region was one of the regions with the lowest industrial indicators. Today, industry has penetrated every district of the region.
The Jizzakh free economic zone plays a significant role in the industrial development of the region, ranking third in the republic in terms of production volume and sixth in terms of export volume. In recent years, its activities have been improved and production capabilities expanded. Currently, 33 projects have been implemented in the industrial zone, employing 7,670 people.
ADM Jizzakh is one of the successfully operating enterprises in the industrial zone. It was founded in 2021. Over the past three years, 36,000 cars of 23 types have been produced under the Kia, Chery and Haval brands.
Within the framework of the project, US$234 million were invested and 1.8,000 jobs were created.
At the first stage, large-scale assembly production was established. At the same time, the plant was expanded, and new buildings and facilities were put into operation in March of this year. Thus, high-tech production is organized, including stamping, welding, painting and assembly.
The head of state familiarized himself in detail with the production process at the plant.
The enterprise is equipped with high-tech equipment supplied from South Korea, Japan and Germany. The plant has 30 robots, automation is 33 percent. Equipment has been installed to check the serviceability of the vehicle chassis, static and dynamic braking systems.
The President gave instructions on increasing the level of localization and expanding cooperation with industrial enterprises of the country.
Work in this direction has already begun. In 2024-2027, it is planned to localize 348 types of components. At the moment, cooperative ties have been established with 21 enterprises in the country.
In general, the enterprise has created the capacity to produce 100,000 passenger cars per year. As a result, it is planned to increase the number of jobs to 3,000.
To improve the quality of cars, qualified specialists from South Korea, India, China and Vietnam were involved. Starting this year, the first group of 50 engineers will be sent for advanced training to research and design centers in South Korea and China.
During the visit, the head of state got acquainted with the new Kia Sonet car, the production of which began at the plant.
