Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Presidential resolution “On measures to improve the quality of development and implementation of projects in the field of information and communication technologies in the framework of the Electronic Government” was adopted.

The resolution defines the additional tasks of the E-Government and Digital Economy Project Management Center at the National Project Management Agency.

The scope of the Center’s activities extends to state bodies and economic management bodies, economic entities with a state share in the statutory fund of 50 percent or more, as well as all projects implemented as part of the state development programs of Uzbekistan.

Funds in the amount of 10 percent of the amount of paid state duties and fees for public services, as well as funds in the amount of 1 percent of the amount of state duties and fees paid for the provision of public services and other payments through the Unified Billing System, except for state services provided bya single portal of interactive government services is credited to a special account of the Center at an authorized bank.

From 1 June 2019, project terms of reference are submitted to the Center for examination, regardless of their cost.

The examination is charged at 0.5 percent of the marginal cost of the project, but not more than 100 times the minimum wage.

Until 1 January 2022, the Center is exempted from all types of taxes and obligatory payments.
