Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting of the bank's management with independent members of the Supervisory Board of Asaka Bank OJSC.

At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the current state of Asaka Bank OJSC. It was noted that, despite the current difficulties associated with the pandemic, independent members of the Supervisory Board were able to establish interaction with the bank's management in an online format.

The independent members of the Supervisory Board voiced the results of the study of the bank's activities in the current year, as well as opinions on the further transformation of the bank. In turn, representatives of the Central Bank expressed their opinion on improving the quality of assets, establishing effective management, increasing the knowledge and skills of employees.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the strategy of reforming the banking system of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2025", it is envisaged to create an independent Supervisory Board, consisting of foreign experts, in banks with state participation.
