Active inter-parliamentary relations are important in strengthening multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 May 2024, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva held a meeting with a delegation led by the Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yilmaz.

At the meeting, it was noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye is growing stronger every year, including in recent years, thanks to the strong political will of the leaders of the two countries, these relations have been raised to a new level of strategic partnership.

Dialogue at the highest level is becoming regular. As a result of this, the ties of brotherhood and friendship between the two countries, cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian, tourism, educational and social spheres are further developed.

During the dialogue, the Turkish side expressed its readiness to provide assistance in the areas of supporting gender equality, women’s entrepreneurship, organized labor migration, family and social protection, exchange experience in this direction and implement specific projects.

At the meeting, attention was focused on the fact that it is important to strengthen relations of interparliamentary cooperation at the regional and international levels, to intensify it by continuing the direct dialogue of interparliamentary groups and all parliamentary committees in the fields of trade, economics, investment, innovation, banking and finance, tourism, cultural and humanitarian and other areas.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to mobilize their experience and enthusiasm to deepen and expand the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
