Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 26th International Exhibition of Leather, Shoe Materials and Shoe Equipment has started in Wenzhou, the People’s Republic of China. More than 20 thousand participants demonstrated the achievements of the leather industry in 7 pavilions. For the first time, Uzbekistan also takes part in this large-scale expo.

Association "Uzcharmsanoat" and more than 15 enterprises of Uzbekistan are participating in the exhibition with a collective stand. The exhibition presents about 100 types of shoes, leather, haberdashery, woolen products.

On the first day of the exhibition, the delegation of Uzbekistan met with the leadership of the Chinese Leather Industry Association. During the talks, the current state of cooperation and future prospects were discussed. The topic of prompt implementation of joint Uzbek-Chinese projects was also raised. An exchange of views took place on the organizational issues of the participation of our domestic enterprises in the All-China Leather Exhibition, which will be held in August.

Also at the meeting with the President of JACD Corporation, Professor of Yangzhou University Kai Tian Gu, a proposal was discussed to organize joint projects for the production of dyes for natural and artificial leather in Uzbekistan. In addition, initiatives were put forward to establish cooperation in the field of training personnel for the leather and footwear industry. This month, a meeting with representatives of this university is scheduled at the Uzcharmsanoat Association.

The delegation of the association "Uzcharmsanoat" took part in the international forum as part of the exhibition. The general public was presented with a presentation on the achievements of the leather and footwear and fur industry, the production, investment and export potential of our country.

As part of the international exposition, our domestic enterprises are negotiating the implementation of new projects and the signing of export contracts.
