Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Government of Uzbekistan plans to attract loans of the Arab Coordination Group (AGC) in the amount of US$2.2 billion in 2019-2021.

The government of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On measures to further develop cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank Group and the funds of the Arab Coordination Group”.

Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers approved the list of projects, which will be implemented with the participation of AGC. The list includes 29 projects worth more than US$3 billion. ACG will provide US$2.2 billion to finance them.

The funds will be used to equip medical facilities, universities, the introduction of alternative energy sources, the reconstruction of sewage systems and the improvement of drinking water supply, as well as the construction of highways.
