Accidental Refueling Causes Car Explosion in Ferghana

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A gas cylinder in a Labo vehicle exploded at an auto gas station in Ferghana.

According to the Traffic Safety Department of the Ferghana Regional Internal Affairs Directorate, the incident occurred on September 18 around midday.

An investigation revealed that the driver had mistakenly refueled the car with methane instead of propane, for which the installed cylinder was intended.

No one was injured in the explosion, but the vehicle sustained significant technical damage.

Authorities are currently conducting an additional investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
