Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Access to the websites of foreign crypto exchanges has been blocked in Uzbekistan due to their lack of licenses for the right to operate. This was reported by the press service of the National Agency for Perspective Projects (NAPP).
NAPP is the regulator of the sphere of circulation of crypto assets. The websites of foreign crypto exchanges have been blocked from 9 August. When opening sites, a message appears that access to the information resource is limited on the basis of the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution “On measures to improve information security in the global information network Internet”.
NAAPP states that the blocked platforms did not comply with the requirements of the legislation on the placement of servers on the territory of Uzbekistan.
“They do not bear any legal responsibility for the implementation of operations with crypto assets, they cannot guarantee the legitimacy of the transactions, as well as the proper storage and preservation of the confidentiality of personal data of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” the NAPP notes.
NAPP encourages citizens to report to the agency and law enforcement agencies about cases of the work of such resources in Uzbekistan.
