On 24 May 2017, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures on further improving state policy in the field of employment and radical improving effectiveness of labour bodies”.

According to the decree, the program should ensure increasing the role of the banking system of Uzbekistan in employment issues.

To increase the opportunities for microcrediting of the population, it is planned to increase the capitalization of Microcreditbank.

The decree said that Minister of Employment and Labor Relations will be the chairman of the supervisory board of Microcreditbank.
