Academy of Nurses to be created in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Resolution "On measures for the effective organization of public administration in the healthcare sector as part of administrative reforms" was adopted.

According to the Resolution, it was decided to introduce an improved system of providing health care in primary health care, providing for:

- formation of the List of the guaranteed volume of medical care covered from the State budget, taking into account diseases and conditions in outpatient and inpatient conditions, which are the cause of the largest number of citizens’ appeals at the level of districts (cities);

- training at short-term courses for doctors of primary health care institutions to counter the diseases and conditions most common in the respective territory.

From 2024, targeted screening programs for the older generation will be introduced as part of the annual medical examination.

From the 2023/2024 academic year, the following will be organized:

- Academy of Nurses on the basis of the Chilanzar College of Public Health named after Abu Ali ibn Sino;

- technical schools of public health named after Abu Ali ibn Sino on the basis of medical colleges;

Also, the following will be implemented:

- training of specialists in the direction of education of the bachelor’s degree "Nurse of the highest qualification" in medical universities with a four-year term of study;

- based on the proposals of the technical schools, the parameters of admission and the procedure for additional admission to study on the basis of a differentiated paid contract;

- a national system of two-stage assessment of knowledge (fundamental, clinical and practical skills) and confirmation of the qualifications of students of state medical universities;

- a portal of continuing professional education to improve the skills of medical workers.

State and non-state medical organizations will be given the right to introduce advanced training courses.

Full digitalization of the processes of continuous professional development and advanced training of medical and pharmaceutical workers will be ensured.

By the end of 2023, the following will be provided:

- connection of all non-governmental medical organizations to the special information system of the Ministry of Health;

- monitoring reports on personnel, medical equipment, types of services, medical statistics and other reporting of non-governmental medical organizations;

- introduction of the "risk-analysis" system into the process of monitoring medical activities.

Also, will be organized:

- Center for the Safety of Pharmaceutical Products;

- Center for Qualification Assessment of Medical and Pharmaceutical Workers;

- Center for Licensing and Accreditation of Medical Organizations.
