About 7.3m people use Internet in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Number of Internet users in Uzbekistan currently reached 7.3 million, specialist of the information service of the Uzbek Agency for Information and Communication (UzACI) Elbek Dalimov said.

The UzACI official said that number of mobile Internet users in Uzbekistan reached about 4.1 million.

As of 1 October 2010, number of business entities, rendering services on data transfer, including Internet services, reached 965. Total number of public Internet access users made up 1,021.

Dalimov underlined that total speed of international Internet channel reached 2.5 Gbps, which is up 96% year-on-year.
