According to the Ministry of Finance, insurance companies collected about 164.329 billion soums of insurance premiums in Tashkent in January-September 2014, which rose by 34.8% year-on-year.

Tashkent region (23.005 billion soums), Ferghana region (19.22 billion soums), Samarkand region (15.058 billion soums), Andijan region (14.337 billion soums) were among Top 5 regions of Uzbekistan on the volume of collected insurance premiums.

It is worth to mention that 72.92% (230.881 billion soums) of all collected insurance premiums in Uzbekistan fell to share of these five regions.

Syrdarya region (5.227 billion soums), Navoi region (5.75 billion soums) and Jizzakh region (5.782 billion soums) were among the Top 3 outsiders on the volume of the collected insurance premiums in the reporting period.

These data serve as evidence that great potential exists in development of insurance services in the regions of Uzbekistan.
