The share of motor transport in passenger transportation and passenger turnover was the highest – 98% and 88% respectively.
The number of passengers carried by railway transport grew by 3.1% and was 7.4 million persons, the passenger turnover has increased by 14.1% and totaled 1.403 billion pas-km.
Over 918,100 persons were carried by air transport, which is 25.9% more than in January-June 2009, the passenger turnover was 2.567 billion pass-km or 17.8% higher than in January-June 2009.
Passenger transportation carried out by trolleybuses, trams and underground has decreased by 57.9%, 16.9% and 5.8% respectively.
