Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis have approved Abdulla Aripov’s candidacy for the position of Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It was previously reported that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had nominated Abdulla Aripov for the role of Prime Minister.
The deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis reviewed Abdulla Aripov’s candidacy. The candidate presented the government’s action plan for the near future and long-term goals.
Leaders of factions and deputies provided comments on the candidate and the proposed program.
After discussing the program and the candidate, the question of confirming Abdulla Aripov as Prime Minister was put to a vote.
As a result of a secret ballot, the deputies approved Abdulla Aripov’s appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
