Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan started its work in Minsk on 29 July, within the framework of which a sectional meeting was held at the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on the theme “Developing cooperation between the regions of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan in humanitarian, informational, communication and scientific fields”.
The event was attended by representatives of ministries and departments of the two countries, universities and heads of IT-companies. A report on the topic “Analytical component of the bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan” was made by the Acting Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development Abdulaziz Akkulov.
In his speech, A. Akkulov noted that over the past year, bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the field of tourism has been significantly intensified. “Between the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on tourism development and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus, the Program of Cooperation in the field of tourism for 2019-2020 has been successfully implemented.
We are currently working on a draft interdepartmental agreement in order to expand the regulatory framework of bilateral cooperation, ”the head of the State Committee for Tourism stressed.
