At the post, he replaced Sergei Zakuraev, who left Uzbekistan on 16 December 2011. Sergei Zakuraev has been appointed as director-general of Beeline in Georgia.
Andrei Safronyuk, director-general of Unitel, said that currently the main goal of regional branches is to strengthen leadership in data transfer. He said that the company developed 3G network in 2011 and currently 130 cities and settlements are covered with 3G network. He added that Abai Kolanov will allow to give new stimulus to business overall.
Abai Kolanov said that evolution of telecom industry and development of technologies open new horizons for operators. He said that the company is preparing to launch new exclusive offices in Uzbekistan, which will help to keep high service level.
Abai Kolanov was born in Nukus in 1977. He graduated Nukus Computer and Information Technologies College. Later, he graduated Almaty State University. From June 2006, Abai has been working as Director of Western Regional Branch of Beeline.
