Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A working meeting was held at the State Tax Committee with a delegation from the US Treasury consisting of Deputy Director of the Office of Technical Assistance W. Remington and tax consultant F. Fink.

Foreign experts got acquainted with the activities of the departments of the structural apparatus of the STC. It was possible to identify some problematic issues for the subsequent development of technical tasks for their solution and improving the work of the structure as a whole.

The main issue on the agenda is the improvement of the personnel policy of the STC. In particular, the necessity of creating a new fundamental institution for the training of personnel in the tax sphere was noted. A professional selection of specialists, a system for classifying posts, improving their qualifications, as well as developing a high-quality strategy for the work of the human resources department are all priority tasks for the STC system.

The attention of experts was also focused on improving tax administration. The importance of organizing a quality tax audit was noted. In addition, William Remington expressed the view that it is necessary to actively put into practice the norms and methodologies of administration, learned by employees in the form of theoretical knowledge. Foreign experts are also ready to assist in this direction.

E-commerce and the introduction of IT-technologies are integral tasks for the modern tax sphere. US experts are also ready to make practical recommendations on these issues.

Following the meeting, it was decided to develop specific technical specifications and determine the timing of their implementation.
