Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A 40-year-old resident of the city of Ferghana, Fergana region, K.D. filed a statement with the internal affairs authorities and said that in the Telegram messenger she met a man who said that cyber attacks were not recorded on his bank card, but this could be prevented and protected. Thus, he withdrew all the cash from her bank card - 6,231,000 soums.

As a result of the operational-search activities, it was established that a 25-year-old resident of Sergeli district of the city of Tashkent, K.R. deceived the victim K.D. by sending fake messages to her phone number and he got a bank card code and an SMS notification in the telegram messenger, and then appropriated the money that was on the account of the plastic card.

With regard to K.R. a criminal case was initiated under part 3 of article 168 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the attacker was brought to criminal responsibility.

According to the law, K.R. can be jailed from 5 to 8 years.
