Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A round table was held at the Uzbekistan Embassy in Beijing on the economic, investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan, Dunyo news agency reported.

The event was attended by leaders of over 20 large Chinese companies and organizations operating in the fields of trade, transport, logistics, electronics, manufacturing, energy, agriculture, services and tourism.

The round table participants were informed about the business environment, opportunities created for foreign investors, the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, measures being implemented in the field of tourism, including simplification of visa procedures.

Those present highly appreciated the amenities and benefits created for business entities and foreign investors in our country, and the efforts to support them.

President of the Beijing Belt & Road Cooperative Community Hua Han noted that China and Uzbekistan have established effective cooperation in all areas. In particular, within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative, the two countries continue to develop relations in industry, energy, agriculture, tourism, implementation of infrastructure projects, in the fields of transport and logistics.

General Director of E-to-China.com (ETCN) Hu Cong said that the role and influence of Uzbekistan in the economic development of the region is increasing, and the rapid implementation of the Digital Silk Road initiative will change the economies of the states in the region. He emphasized that his company is ready to cooperate with Uzbek partners in this area.

According to Yan Bingbing, General Director of the International Relations Department of Optima Integration Group, fruits and vegetables grown in Uzbekistan have become a real brand - a trademark with high authority, and these products are highly competitive. According to him, the Chinese company provides services in the production of agricultural products and expresses a desire to import vegetables and fruits grown in Uzbekistan into the Chinese market in the future.
