Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 2 to 10 January, as part of the "Week of Youth Tourism", the event "In the New Year - a tour of new Uzbekistan" is being organized.

This event is held in order to ensure the implementation of the decisions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to diversify domestic tourism services” and “On measures to develop the service sector in museums”. The main goal is the meaningful organization of schoolchildren’s time during the holidays, familiarizing them with historical places and sights of our country, with ongoing creative work, educating young people who will lay the foundations of the Third Renaissance.

It should be noted that during the holidays, schoolchildren from the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions make excursions to shrines and monuments, historical sites and sights on their territory, and 400 students from the city of Tashkent in the Samarkand region. In particular, today in Surkhandarya, schoolchildren visit such sightseeing and ecotourism areas as the regional museum of history and culture, the Termez Museum of Archeology, the Termez Zoo, the Al-Hakim at-Termizi and Sultan Saadat complexes. And in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, students got acquainted with the Karakalpak Savitsky Art Museum. In Bukhara, about 500 schoolchildren made a tour of the ancient Ark fortress and other sites, as well as the fabulous streets of the old city. And the schoolchildren of the city of Tashkent went to Samarkand to have a meaningful vacation.

Residents of districts and cities of other regions located in areas adjacent to historical cities and settlements, such as Bukhara, Samarkand, Shakhrisabz, Khiva, etc. (in close proximity to the regional center), also organize trips to historical settlements in other areas located in their immediate vicinity.

It is noteworthy that children from families included in the "Iron Notebook", "Women’s Notebook", "Youth Notebook", and students with disabilities, gifted students who showed high results in republican, regional, district and urban subject Olympiads. They are provided with all the comforts while traveling. In particular, tourists will be transported on special vehicles from houses to railway stops and parking lots. And when the trip ends, they will be delivered home on the same transport.

In addition, at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Agency for Cultural Heritage, young people have free entry to cultural heritage sites, museums, theaters and cinemas of the republic.

As part of the event “In the New Year - a tour of the new Uzbekistan”, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism organizes entertaining musical performances as part of schoolchildren’s visits to cultural heritage sites and museums, shows theatrical performances that form patriotic feelings among students, showing our history live.

In addition, schoolchildren are provided with information about historical monuments, historical figures of the regions, as well as about creative work carried out in subsequent years.

It should be noted that during the holidays in all regions of the republic "master classes" are planned, as well as other trips and events aimed at productive pastime of young students.
