Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On approval of the" Digital Uzbekistan - 2030 "strategy and measures for its effective implementation was adopted.

This Decree defines the task of improving digital literacy and qualifications of employees of khokimiyats, state bodies and organizations in the regions, teaching them the basics of information technology and information security. Also, measures were identified to improve the qualifications of 12 thousand employees in the field of information technology.

Based on this, on 7-9 October, in the Nukus branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy, the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, in cooperation with the Ministry of Water Resources, organized a training course to improve the qualifications of specialists of the Ministry of Water Resources in the Republic of Karakalpakstan in the field of ICT.

As part of the course, about 200 specialists in water management will improve their skills in the application of geoinformation technologies and technologies for remote sensing of the Earth, the use of software products and the latest achievements in this area. In addition, the listeners will also get acquainted with the advanced foreign experience in the field of digitalization of water management.

Today, in the agricultural sector of the republic, consistent work is underway on the widespread introduction of digital technologies, the creation of an integrated system of e-government services, and the introduction of new mechanisms for interaction between government bodies and business.

The introduction of digital technologies in this area brings with it not only the introduction of information systems and software products into work processes, but also implies an increase in the level of knowledge and qualifications of specialists in this field in the field of ICT.
