Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 December, in Tashkent region, a traffic police officer used a stun gun against a driver, the press service of the regional traffic police reported.
The incident occurred at 12:00 in the city of Angren. A traffic police inspector stopped the driver of a Nexia-2 car for violating the rules.
When asked to provide documents, the driver refused and fled the scene.
A secondary stop occurred near the market, where the driver was asked to comply with the law. However, he insulted the inspector and continued to resist.
The inspector used a stun gun in accordance with the law “On Internal Affairs Bodies”.
An additional investigation is underway to provide a legal assessment of what happened.
