Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A tourist zone “Okhalik - Okbuiro - Mironkul” will be created in Samarkand region of Uzbekistan.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures to organize the activities of the Okhalik-Okbuiro-Mironkul tourist and recreational zone.”
The head of Uzbekistan instructed to allocate land for the implementation of the project. It is planned to allocate 1.6 thousand hectares for the Ohalik project, 414 hectares for Okbuiro and 2.5 thousand hectares for Mironkul.
To manage and develop these zones, a directorate for the tourist and recreational zone “Okhalik - Okbuiro - Mironkul” will be created under the khokimiyat of Samarkand region.
The duration of the tourist zone will be 30 years with the possibility of extension.
By 1 August 2024, it is planned to develop a master plan and layout of the resort, including campsites and walking areas.
The project also stipulates the development of mountain tourism and extreme recreation.
