Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Tax-Free system has been introduced at four airports in Uzbekistan - Karshi, Navoi, Nukus and Termez. This was stated by the press service of the Tax Committee.

Now foreign tourists can receive VAT compensation for purchases made at these airports.

The Tax Free program applies to a variety of goods, including fruits, nuts, cosmetics, leather and fur products.

To receive compensation, the purchase amount must be at least 1 million soums.Previously, the system was introduced at five other airports in Uzbekistan - Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana and Urgench.

It is planned that Tax Free will be introduced at all airports in the country in the near future.
