A specialized school with in-depth study of computer science and information technology was opened in Gulistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 January, a specialized boarding school for foreign languages No. 1, located in the city of Gulistan, received the status of a specialized school with in-depth study of computer science and information technology.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications K. Yuldashev, as well as Director General of the Center for Innovations, Technologies and Strategies under the Ministry of Public Education A. Khaidarov and Deputy Khokim of the Syrdarya region O. Nosirov.

Participants and guests got acquainted with the conditions and opportunities created in this educational institution.

The classrooms are equipped with advanced information and communication technologies and are connected to high-speed Internet. In the robotics classroom, the digital library for students, all opportunities are created for in-depth study of computer science and information technology subjects.

There is no doubt that the conditions created in a specialized school will become a significant factor in organizing effective teaching, demonstrating by students their knowledge and capabilities in programming as part of their participation in the megaproject "One Million Programmers".

During the winter holidays, a competitive selection of students was held on the basis of a quota approved by the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, the Ministry of Public Education and the State Testing Center.

On the basis of competitive selection, 33 students were admitted to a class specializing in teaching computer science and information technology.

At the event, students who successfully passed the competitive selection, as well as teachers and students who showed high activity in participating in the megaproject "One Million Programmers" were awarded special certificates.
