Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to organize a special zone for hot air balloon flights, similar to Cappadocia, as part of the initiative to develop extreme tourism.
At a meeting dedicated to improving tourist infrastructure and attracting foreign visitors, the president emphasized the need to create a program for the development of extreme tourism.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that interest in this type of tourism is growing among young people, citing the example of a successful entrepreneur who attracted a significant number of tourists to the Parkent district of the Tashkent region using hot air balloons, hang gliders, and paragliders.
The president noted that 10 more entrepreneurs have expressed a desire to develop extreme tourism in other regions of Uzbekistan.
He proposed to use the Muynak airport for parachute jumping and skydiving, emphasizing the need to create a special air zone similar to that existing in Cappadocia.
