A special website developed to promote CBT-tourism in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A special site, www.cbtuzbekistan.uz, has been developed for advertising promotion of CBT (Community Based Tourism - Community Based Tourism) of Uzbekistan, which provides detailed information about guest houses with a demonstration of the location on an interactive map.

User-friendly logistics and a comfortable ecosystem of the site allow to find the best option for a vacation in rural areas of Uzbekistan. The site was developed and will be maintained by the Association of Private Tourism Organizations of Uzbekistan (APTO).

For the convenience of users, the site www.cbtuzbekistan.uz, in addition to information about potential holiday destinations in family guest houses, will host CBT routes developed by leading tour operators of the country.

“The presence of an attractive image of the territory and developed interesting routes creates the possibility of forming a competitive tourism sector in a single region. However, to reveal the tourist potential of the territory is not enough. The most important thing in modern realities is the correct popularization of tourist resources. And the mission of the site www.cbtuzbekistan.uz is to solve this important task,” said the chairman of the APTO, Gulchehra Israilova.

Also, in order to advertise the CBT of Uzbekistan, the logo of CBT (guest houses) of Uzbekistan was developed, which can form a recognizable image of rural tourism in the country. The main task is to develop the corporate identity of Hospitality Uzbekistan, embodying the hospitality of Uzbekistan and the direction of tourism Community Based Tourism.

CBT (Community Based Tourism) is one of the directions for the development of domestic and inbound tourism, it is a relatively new and promising direction. For the effective implementation of the European Union project “Strengthening rural and ecotourism through business associations for sustainable economic development in Central Asia”, a set of measures has been developed in the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at marketing promotion of CBT in Uzbekistan. The range of prepared information products turned out to be very wide: a logo, a website, brochures, dictionaries and a guide for owners of family guest houses.

The Association of Private Travel Organizations of Uzbekistan (APTO) unites tour operators, representatives of the hotel business and guest houses. The mission of the Association is to promote the interests of its own members and partners in the development of business, as well as their managerial qualities, combining efforts for the development of the tourism industry in Uzbekistan.
