Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the Chinese company Hutong Xian Logistics, plans to create a special logistics and sorting hub for agricultural products.
In order to increase the export volumes of Uzbek agricultural products, representatives from the Agency for Plant Quarantine and Protection under the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the management of Hutong Xian Logistics.
The creation of a trade hub in China’s Xi’an province was discussed. Hutong Xian Logistics is the largest distribution center in China, serving 12 cities and possessing its own railway network covering 80,000 square meters, including 30,000 square meters of modern warehouses and cold storage, 20,000 square meters for hotels, and 16,000 square meters for the "Silk Road" park.
During the negotiations, the establishment of a special logistics and sorting center for Uzbek agricultural products was considered. The Chinese side promised to organize an exhibition hall for a proper display of Uzbek products, including legumes, dried products, and various types of nuts.
As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on developing advantageous business proposals for Uzbek products.
It is noteworthy that based on phytosanitary certificates, 22 types of agricultural products can be exported to China.
