Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the “Zaghulba” residence, a formal ceremony was held to welcome the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who arrived in Azerbaijan on a state visit.

In the square in front of the residence, the national flags of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan were displayed, and an honor guard was assembled. The head of the Uzbek state was warmly greeted by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

To the sounds of the national anthems of both countries and accompanied by a military orchestra, the honor guard marched past the leaders.

After the ceremony and joint photo session, the heads of state proceeded to hold negotiations in a closed format.
