A solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 60 kW was put into operation at the Ferghana TPP

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In July, a solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 60 kW for own needs was installed and put into operation in the building of the boiler shop of Ferghana Thermal Power Plant (TPP) JSC.

This, in turn, allows the enterprise to annually save thermal energy by 47.45 Gcal, and electrical energy by 108 thousand kWh.

By the end of the year, it is also planned to install 13 solar water heaters with a total capacity of 2,600 liters in the existing buildings of Ferghana TPP JSC. In addition, in order to reduce the consumption of fuel and energy resources in production, increase energy efficiency, introduce energy-saving technologies and renewable energy sources, it is planned to install solar panels with a capacity of 1800-2000 kW at the site of an old coal warehouse, which has not been used for many years.

Taking into account the operation of these solar panels in the "On-Grid" mode, it is possible to obtain 7-8 million kW of additional electricity per year, as well as save fuel and energy resources and reduce emissions of harmful gases into the atmosphere.

The station has a 200-liter water heater and lighting powered by 4 solar panels with a total capacity of 13 kW. In total, since 2020, from the moment of commissioning, to date, 162,018 kWh of electricity and 0.07 Gcal of thermal energy have been saved.
