Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 April 2025, at around 05:30, officers from the traffic police unit at the "Namangan" checkpoint stopped a Lacetti vehicle traveling from the Fergana Valley to Tashkent.

The driver, A.M., born in 1994, was examined, and during the search of the vehicle's cabin and trunk, 360 iPhone 16 Pro Max smartphones were discovered.

No accompanying documents were found that would confirm the legal transportation of the goods.

As a result of the identified violation, appropriate procedural documents were prepared. The seized devices and the driver were handed over to the staff of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes in the Pap District of Namangan region for further investigation.

Currently, a check is underway to determine the origin of the equipment and potential illegal import channels.
