Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – In Surkhandarya region, a senior prosecutor was detained while receiving a bribe of US$10,000. 

These funds were intended to secure assistance for the company "ERS" in matters related to installing water-saving technologies in fish farming.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 of the Criminal Code (Fraud) regarding this incident. The suspect has been detained in accordance with established procedures.

In another operation, an entrepreneur was detained, who promised to the head of the company "BDK" for US$105,000 to get a positive expert opinion in a criminal case in Jizzakh region, facilitated through his acquaintances in an insurance company and the prosecutor’s office in Tashkent.

A criminal case under Article 168 of the Criminal Code has also been initiated in this case. The suspect has been detained in accordance with established procedures.

It is noted that during the investigation, the actions of the prosecutor’s office employees will be assessed from a legal perspective.
