Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 November, a round table was organized at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan as part of the visit of the delegation of the German-Eurasian Economic Union to our country with the participation of ministries and departments, as well as business circles of the two countries.
The German-Eurasian Economic Union is an independent, non-partisan representation of the interests of medium-sized (family) companies and active figures from all sectors and professional groups interested in developing and maintaining economic relations between Germany and the countries of Eurasia.
The main goal of this event was to establish business contacts between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and participants of the German delegation, present and discuss major investment projects in Uzbekistan, as well as identify priority areas for further deepening cooperation.
First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Islam Jasimov and President of the German-Eurasian Economic Union Thomas Overbeck delivered welcoming speeches.
The event was attended by representatives of 17 German companies engaged in the fields of mechanical engineering, metalworking, construction, agriculture, industrial waste processing and other areas.
As a result, B2B negotiations were held between Uzbek and German businesses, and a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the German-Eurasian Economic Union, with the aim of strengthening and expanding trade, economic, scientific and technical relations.
In conclusion, the parties expressed satisfaction with the results of the negotiations and agreed on further cooperation on the implementation of joint activities.
As part of the visit, it is also planned to visit the Tashkent and Samarkand metallurgical plants, as well as the Almalyk mining and metallurgical plant.
