In Uzbekistan, sport is very popular, especially among young people. The Five Initiatives Olympiad facilitates the further widespread adoption of physical culture, organized according to the idea of the Head of state.
Last year, 6 million 400 thousand young people participated in the Olympiad. In the mahallas of remote and hard-to-reach areas, where the sports infrastructure is insufficiently developed, 449 standard sports grounds were built.
About 12 thousand talented young athletes were selected and entered sports schools during the five-stage mass competition. Each school is specialized in a specific sport and has been provided with new equipment. As a result, the provision rate of national teams with athletes also increases.
