A regular meeting of the members of members of the Eurasia Policy Group was held

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 April 2021, a meeting was held with the participation of members of the  Eurasia Policy Group on the topic: Smart Connectivity for the Green and Digital Transition

Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isakov, who was invited to participate in the group activity attended this meeting.

This strategic platform, on which regional negotiations are held, provides an opportunity for the Eurasian countries to establish cooperation in the field of sustainable development, to promote the strengthening of social and geopolitical partnerships and prospects for the development of the Fourth industrial revolution, professional development and the development of new ideas and directions.

In particular, during the meeting, the group members discussed one of the most pressing topics in the world – the possibility of accelerating the transition to a "green and "digital" economy during the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in particular, through the creation of "digital " platforms and services, improving the efficiency of infrastructure management and energy consumption.

It should be noted that a number of initiatives for the transition to a “green” and “digital” economy are currently being implemented in our country.

In particular, the participants got acquainted with the implementation of tasks based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-4477 "On Approval of the Strategy for the Transition of the Republic of Uzbekistan to a "Green" Economy for the period 2019 — of October 4, 2019, the "high-level" assessment of the impact of the issuance of the first international sovereign bonds in the national currency on development by the JP Morgan Development Finance Institution, the allocation of funds from the implementation of transactions of these bonds to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the introduction of e-government projects and the regular implementation of "digital" reforms in the public sector in recent years.

Currently, the Eurasia Policy Group, consisting of representatives of world governments, the scientific community and the private sector, presents the group's proposals and initiatives to the leadership of the organization during the traditional annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos-Kloster (Switzerland).
