Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A World Bank regional conference on public administration issues “Forming effective, accountable and comprehensive institutions” was held in Ankara (Turkey) on 11-12 June.

The conference was attended by about 450 delegates, including senior government officials, representatives of international development partners, scientists, representatives of the private sector and public organizations from all countries of the Europe and Central Asia region, including the EU member states. The Republic of Uzbekistan was represented by Jahongir Mamajanov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The theme of the event was devoted to the fundamental principles and innovative approaches in terms of reforming public administration, as well as mechanisms to enhance the capacity and accountability of governments.

During the conference, the experience of leaders in reforming public administration, introducing advanced solutions and meeting the new needs of society and the business community was presented.
