A rakugo concert takes place in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A concert of rakugo with participation of famous Japanese humourist Katsura Utazo was held in Tashkent on 21 February.

The Uzbekistan-Japan Center organized the concert of rakugo in Tashkent.

Rakugo is a Japanese verbal entertainment. The lone storyteller (rakugoka) sits on stage, called Kōza. Using only a paper fan (sensu) and a small cloth (tenugui) as props, and without standing up from the seiza sitting position, the rakugo artist depicts a long and complicated comical story.

The story always involves the dialogue of two or more characters, the difference between the characters depicted only through change in pitch, tone, and a slight turn of the head.

Humourist Katsura Utazo presented his programme at the concert, which includes funny stories and jokes.
