Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A company from the United Arab Emirates plans to invest US$30 million in a project for growing berries in Andijan region of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Agriculture said in a statement.

In collaboration with the Agency for Agricultural Services under the Ministry of Agriculture, a garden with a total area of 470 hectares will be created in Pakhtaabad district of Andijan region.

At the first stage of the project, it is planned to grow blueberries in pots on an area of 20 hectares using a drip irrigation system.
