Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A private airfield will be built in Tashkent region with the participation of investors from China.

A delegation from Tashkent region visited China and held several negotiations with Chinese companies.

Administration representatives took part in the Uzbek-Chinese business forum in Shenzhen last week. A number of business and investment agreements have been concluded.

One of the key projects was the contract for the construction of an airfield in the Yangi Khayot mahalla, Akhangaran district, Tashkent region.

A Chinese company became a partner in the project. The cost of the project is estimated at US$380 million. Construction of the airfield should begin in the second half of this year.

In addition, it is planned to implement seven investment projects totaling US$56 million in Akkurgan district together with Chinese partners.

These projects include the production of knitwear, fabrics, synthetic mattresses, footwear and building materials.
