Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan hosted a presentation of the country’s tourism potential to Kuwaiti entrepreneurs, investors and tourists, Dunyo news agency reported.

Participants of the event were provided with detailed information about the opportunities for developing international tourism in Uzbekistan. Particular attention is paid to the rich cultural heritage of the country, including more than 7 thousand historical monuments, most of which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

It was also noted that starting from 1 March 2021, a 10-day visa-free regime for entry into Uzbekistan is in force for Kuwaiti citizens. Currently, Jazeera airline operates direct flights to Tashkent, Samarkand, Namangan and Ferghana.

Kuwaiti tourists who visited Uzbekistan expressed a positive impression of the trip, noting the safe tourist environment and the opportunity to enjoy Uzbek national cuisine.
