Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 June, inspectors of the Lower Amudarya Biosphere Reserve in the Republic of Karakalpakstan detained a poacher, who was illegally hunting the Bukhara deer listed in the International Red Book and the Red Book of Uzbekistan.

Employees received a message that shots were heard in the territory of the reserve, the transition zone of the Dzhumurt department.

Upon arrival at the scene, inspectors found a white Matiz. Following in the footsteps of the car, they reached the Gurlan region, the Dekhkanabad MSG. It turned out that there were bags in the offender’s car, in which the dismembered corpse of one deer was placed.

Investigators of the prosecutor’s office seized two hunting rifles and body parts of a Bukhara deer.

It became known that the poacher caused damage to nature in the amount of 99 million soums.

According to the Ministry of Ecology, investigative actions are currently being carried out on this fact. The case was referred to the prosecutor’s office.
