Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A plant for the production of energy-efficient YTONG blocks has opened in Kibray district of Tashkent region.

The total area of the enterprise is 70,000 sq.m, 10,000 sq.m of which is reserved for production. The capacity of the plant is 450,000 m3. It is planned to employ up to 150 people.

The administration of Tashkent region, representatives of authorities, business, media and the public took part in the opening ceremony of the plant.

The German brand YTONG has been a leader in the production of high-tech building materials for about 100 years. Today, there are more than 100 YTONG factories around the world. Its block has unique energy-efficient properties. Compared to standard building block, YTONG block has 6 times lower thermal conductivity, so a wall built from this block maintains room temperature longer and reduces utility bills by about 35%.

In addition, the YTONG block is made of environmentally friendly materials and is fireproof.

Aerated concrete is by far the most versatile wall material on the market today. Its use can be found in almost any construction project, ranging from low-rise individual construction to large office buildings, residential buildings, large projects and so on. Due to its unique characteristics of sufficient strength, good thermal conductivity and light weight, it is an almost universal material and can be applied almost everywhere.

The product range is not limited to YTONG aerated concrete blocks. Along with the most common smooth blocks of various sizes, the plant’s product line includes arc-shaped blocks for obtaining radius and patterned surfaces, lintels and U-shaped blocks used as fixed formwork when constructing reinforced lintels and monolithic load-bearing belts in construction conditions.

YTONG is actively used in regions with seismic activity. Aerated concrete blocks are resistant to earthquakes due to the reinforced system, thin-joint adhesive solution and lightness.
